You know at least two telepaths, Wanda and Istredd. Istredd said something about a telepathic vampire but I don't think they're in Thorne. I know mental defense in the innate sense but those two would be your best bet. I imagine Istredd would have the logistics of it and I know Wanda has given you sigils in the past to help with your mental fortification.

This place opens up options that wouldn't previously be open to us. Learning types of magic we shouldn't be able to. I'm sure mental defenses could be included in that.

Honestly? I still feel like I don't know shit about magic.

But it's not that different from how I can push out my feelings, right? Just, instead of pushing something out, I'm trying to keep it from getting in in the first place.

No one "knows shit" about magic. Even if they knew before coming here, it's different. This place operates differently, and we can't even access certain types where we are. Heck, we can't even access certain types of Academic magic without Thorne getting all fussy.

But yeah, it's all about just... simplest, putting a fortress up around your mind.

Except I don't actually know how he is with offense spells. But mental defense? Yeah, it's is ballgame.

There's likely other teachers specialized in it though if you can't stomach him.

Istredd just always seems so calm and collected. Like nothing can shake him. It's almost annoying.

But he was trying to look out for everyone down there, and that couldn't have been easy.
