Istredd has hit the point of tired where he can't actually sleep, it's just a feeling slowing his mind down. He forces enough energy so he can turn around on the bed to look up, but not enough to try and sit up quite yet. It's lucky he got there acting like nothing was wrong. It's like a very, very bad hangover.

He glances over at the bread and then up at Lucifer, the dullness of his own mind at the moment making the sharing of his roommate's feelings more precise. It's reassuring and also new, to have so much concern and relief pushed toward him for being alive. Wanda pointed out not everyone is a mage asshole here. He manages to smile for that, which he probably shouldn't do, he should be apologetic.

"You don't." And isn't that so strange? It's nice though. It really is. Istredd manages to share back his reassurance and warmth, and a stronger push of affection than he usually allows. He is too tired to try and be reserved about it. But he is apologetic after that recedes.

I'm sorry about the pain. I wasn't able to try to block it. For the obvious reason, the pain was too strong. By the time he could control it, the worst had passed. The Singularity wasn't too happy with the magic users. Which was, basically, all of them.
